Eat me with cake, black milk & mezzanine. [Jul. 3rd, 2004|12:48 am]
Teletubby land is having an open day next Wednesday. £2.50 admission and you get to see the gardens, mansions and statues in daylight (instead of drunk and at midnight) and they give you tea... or else. But no animals are allowed, sorry Kitty.

I'm back in Cheshire until sometime next week. And something seems to have killed my desire to post here on my Livejournal, nestled in-between the two soft cookies of my imagination and daily activity. Damndamndamn.

Woo! There were riots in town after the game, I nearly got my ass kicked. It just goes to show, David Bowie should stick to songwriting and quit being a referee, what a dumass he was.

Updatums [Jun. 23rd, 2004|06:01 pm]
My phone is being weird and I'm not receiving some people's text messages. Or I receive them a day late. So If I don't reply I'm not being a bastard, unless you're Emma who I'm pised off with at the moment. Tonight I already know I will be mostly listening to her telling me it was ok for her to treat people like shit, again, and for me to mop up the mess she makes, again. Again. :P

Kiriyama from Battle Royale is back as my icon. Wayne Rooney looks like Shrek. It's true. But what an amazing footballer.

Vincent & Theo - 1890 [Jun. 21st, 2004|05:34 pm]
[media |Vincent - Don McLean]

Having recently finished reading a Vincent van Gogh biography I've become really interested in his artwork - therefore the new LJ icon. I've also been accepted to start History And Theory Of Art as a second year student come September.

England playing Croatia tonight, I mustn't get too excited. Dan Blood is also down for a few days, will be nice to see him.

Another night of fundom, got home about 3.30am, had a wonderful time with Ruth at a house party of randomness with Matt and Gordon. Hope to see her again soon. I think I have a bit of a hangover today, nothing to do with a single bed filled with 5 girls and a pirate, honest. Not entirely up for an England football game - yes that's the townie in me leaking through my pores again.

I signed up for gmail (google mail), they give you a 1000mb inbox?!?! But for some reason their server is down and I don't think it's all up and working yet. Either way I suggest everyone get one before their beta test ends. I r teh geek.

Apparently there is absolutely nothing stopping me from switching to an Art History course in the second year next year, according to my seminar leader from this year who lvoes me. First I'll find out what it all involves, see if I can manage atleast a 2:1, then start.

I can't believe I might've been off to Scotland with my family for two weeks. I'm having too much fun here to leave now. Just need a job though! Mal; I WILL come to Past Times, honest.

Off to meet Klairio.

Le WOW! What an incredible two days I've had.

Last night went to Chicago's. Big news is that Steve and Emma broke up after a year together! Firstly met up at the Hobgoblin with the usual guilty party's. Kate was uber drunky, hooray for boob flashing and calling me Steve all the time. Plus I must remember to go skateboarding with Beercart-Barman-James.

Chicago's was just as fantastic as last time. Met Matt and his lllovely friend Ruth too. Talked for ages with the DJ and his friendly girlfriend. The male/female ratio was back at a decent 50/50. The band were really, really good, the singer did a better-than-usual impersonation of Brandon Boyd. Steve left early to walk back to Whitstable and Emma let him go! Em was uber inconsiderate all night actually, bad bad Emma. Me and Claire sampled the collection of VK flavours. At the end I left with Matt and Ruth.

On our way back home, at the Westgate, Steve called me up and wasn't walking to Whitstable afterall and we were to rendevous with him on our way up towards home and he was to stay at my place. Met Steve, he asked where Emma was - "gone home early" - and then he sprinted off into the distance. Then I heard him screaming and being violent so ran after him. Grabbed him and calmed him down, the others caught up. Then we kept going after he'd calmed down only to witness a cat run out infront of a car and get hit.
It was a beautiful black cat called Cassio.
I phoned the owner but only got an answering machine - it was about 1.30am. A neighbour came outside and called the RSPCA who said they wouldn't come and pick up animals that were already dead. Cassio had stopped breathing, gone cold and limp and it was really sad. A neighbour took him inside and hopefully took him to the Vets this morning. I got a call back from the owner this afternoon and received thanks and was told the two neighbours who came to help us 4 and the driver had sorted it all out.
Steve slept on my big sofa and was gone by the time I woke up this morning.

Monday was great too. The Beercart Arms went by in a flash, I hit yet another random spell of sudden skill at pool. Went back with Vix to her place - which will be my place after September. That house is so cool; satellite TV!!! We watched "The 51st State" and got drunky. Then I wrestled Tyler around and my hat disappeared, literally, after 30minutes of 5 people searching EVERYWHERE it was concluded it was stolen by fairies. Had pizza and celebrity death match and got home at 3am.

I can now truly call myself a prty animal, rawr. Hehehe.

England played France in football. The townie in me was released for a few hours. And deary me it was scary when we lost in the dying minutes. I left the house to let out my frustration on my skateboard and nearly got into a fight with a house full of big French guys taunting me, something released the English hooligan and I didn't fear them at all! Damn adrenaline, leave my veins forever!
Unfortunately they live about 5 or 6 houses down from me so I'll have to watch my ass every time I go past, dammit, dammit, dammit.

Now I feel kinda fucked over though. Still, Beercart tomorrow and the like. Yay.

W0W, tonight was really fun. I guess it was mostly me, Claire and Yuna. First going to Cherry Tree, drinking absinthe and becks and finding Tom. Then to the Canterbury Tales drinking Snakebite Black and ending at the Hobgoblin for more Snakebite. It was difficult to watch Claire say goodbye to Helen, they may not see each other for maybe another year.
Afterwards I showed Helen WTF Teletubby land actually is! Still didn't dare approach up the Mansion Driveway itself though but had a great tour around the huge place. And then waved bye to Yuna til September.

Bye Helen!

Fatigue! Still haven't had a night in, nor much time spent in my room, since the end of exams. But tonight is the second night where I just don't care what might happen with the night, just want it to end as soon as possible, lol. I'm gonna drop dead on my bed and read more about van Gogh.

Oh yeah, I had a great day in general however, with chips and Cathedral and a summers day spent how it should be spent. Had a really great time with Claire and Yuna, gonna suck when they're gone.

edit: I've only seen the Jonathan Ross show three times. On those three times they've had Morrisey, Muse and tonight The Cure performing to send off the program, which is quite impressive really.

All Nighter Insania [Jun. 9th, 2004|06:55 pm]
[media |Megalomaniac | Incubus]

It's a really sad thing. The other day I was told a girl fancied me and the first thing I could think was: "Why?". I haven't had a night in since exams finished on June 2nd and I think all the alcohol is taking its toll on my mood, I'm in the trough of the self-esteem rollercoaster, but I've had some fantastic nights in the last week or so. I keep thinking horribly analytical thoughts like: "What would it be like to have all the love you wanted?"

Anyway, last night however was fantastic, as Chicago's tends to be. I think it's because I meet new people even if I'm in selfdestructivegothmode. Claire left about 30mins before the end with Kate who was uber drunky. Me and Helen went back to Nath's house and stayed up talking and stoof with his housemate and us three until about 4am. Then I got dibs on the spare bed and Helen took the 3seater sofa and got about 2hours sleep. Woke up, spent about 30minutes searching for the TV remote and vegetating between sleep and reality before finishing a pint of water each and walking home. I got home about 7am.

Hmm! I don't know why but I can't seem to receive some text messages at the moment, so if you don't get a reply from me it's because I didn't get it!

Random House Party of A.R.T. [Jun. 5th, 2004|12:20 am]
[media |Houesmate's Band Music, Still in my head.]

Wow, well I guess that makes it another academic year finished, and it finally feels like it. A load of people have been saying - after their exams finish - that altho all the work is done they don't feel they can relax. Which is exactly how I've felt too. But after saying goodbye to Wendy and Dan tonight for the last time - even though its only a month til I see them again - it felt like finality had actuated, lol.
Been at The Hobgoblin all night straight after I played basketball near Sainsbury's and spectacularly met up with Vincent again as soon as I arrived.

As soon as I got home some guys, holding the letters A.R and T. were walking along the middle of Downs Road so I ran inside and grabbed my camera. )
Then some grrl's who I knew from 1st year were also taking pictures and they invited me to their house party. So I turned up, the girls weren't in, there was only a few people I vaguely knew there (like Dave who works at Food2Go in Keynes being the closest, lol), I tried my best, but trendy fuck-off-ish-ness set in and I decided that I'd just take a few random snap's of people, since I was going anyway and it didn't matter if I pissed them off, and left.

Probably more, but I forget.
edit: No, I'm too tired.

Day Before The Last [Jun. 1st, 2004|09:30 pm]
It's my last exam tomorrow. This time instead of a cold, God threw in a virus to stop me revising, but I told God he can suck the cocks of a million demons, revised anyway whilst drugged up and dizzy and have overcome the bullshit to pull off a decent load of revision for tomorrow's Art exam.

The art fag in me loved Nigel Kennedy's violin solo atop Vivaldi's Four Seasons: Summer on the tele the other night. Infact it was as good as seeing A Perfect Circle live, better than Maynards voice - live, and better than missing the last train home from Wembley that night.

Today the trains took just as long as going North last week. This time I was delayed by track works. From Crewe to Derby. In Derby I met a drunken but friendly lady (Jean, 46) who had just been released from prison, who was telling me of the wrongful accusation brought against her, eating and spitting out chewing gum at a great speed, does not a day go by when I don't meet any psychopaths?
From Derby it was 2 hours to Saint Pancras, then the tube to London Bridge, back onto the other northern line to Charing Cross. Then I finally got something to eat at 3pm. Then a train to Ashford and bus to Canterbury.

Samurai Champloo might push 11 out of 10 for the inclusion of the random flying squirrel of cuteness - Mumu.

Suicides, Trains and Psychoanalysis [May. 29th, 2004|02:01 am]
There is no sleep to be found at home, or very little. So I took the train/s home to Cheshire today to prepare for my last exam this coming Wednesday. I was delayed on route by not one, but two suicides that passed by on damaged & blood-spattered trains, the cleanup taking about 2 hours and I arrived 8 hours after leaving Canterbury.

So I'm a tad tired actually, but beyond tired to the point where you can't seem to sleep and God's just laughing in my face or something.

In the wallowing splendour that is 8hours trying to find a comfortable position on a cramped train seat I discovered my greatest fear is mediocrity. I always think you can tell a person's personality by how they look, which is why I'm always surprised if they turn out differently from what I expected when I meet them. I sat with a good view of a middle aged woman who had a calm and condescending expression the whole time, who frowned and slightly shook her head every time something out of the ordinary shook her 'repose' of a newspaper crossword. I should've taken a picture with my camera. She exuded the air of someone I would really hate to be. Whilst traveling through London, even on the tube, it feels like a lively place and I really didn't want to leave.

I must be really tired, I'm turning all psychoanalyst. Back to watching Big Bruvver: I want to marry the girl who owns a flock of sheep.

[mood | tired]
[media |Samurai Champloo]

Tuesday night at Chicago's was great fun. I was told I looked like Brandon Boyd which might be the biggest compliment(and load of bullshit therefore) I've ever received. So much beer, wine, weed and pizza was consumed that I didn't fully awake until 3pm Wednesday. Spent the evening recovering but got kept awake until 3am by lovely housemate, then awoken at 8am by a jackhammer cutting up the road surface outside my window.
Today was ok until I was given false hope and then entered selfdestructivegawth mode and I've been a miserable bastard since.

Fantastic, lol.

I've been reminiscing about my days playing Ultima Online. I may return to the days of never going out and building my own fucking empire.

Keynestock Saturday 2004 [May. 23rd, 2004|12:33 am]
My Venus Flytrap caught a huge spider, I'm so proud (it's the only living entity that loves me back you see, haha).
Went to Keynestock, chucked grass in [info]danblood's drink and Tom W.K. got very drunk.
Then went to Christchurch.
After leaving XChurch, Tom WK was SO SO drunk he threw himself off a bridge 15foot high into the River Stour, but not after he'd wrestled his way with Simon across half of Canterbury, getting cut-up all over his body on the way. If I were a counsellor I'd ask "Do you do this to yourself often?" He's ruined his phone, lost his hat, had to walk home soaking wet too. As a result Helen had the hiccups all the way home. All in all, an insane ending to a good day.
